Allied Veterans of the World, Inc. & Affiliates offer the following levels of membership:

Active Membership: Persons of good character, who are citizens of the United States of America and have served or are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces, are eligible for this level of membership. The applicants should have received an honorable discharge from their respective service, or be a serving member of the Armed Forces in good standing at the time of induction.

How to become an Active Member Officer: The Officers of the organization will come from within the active membership. Each active member has one vote at election and when conducting post business. Officers to be elected are: Post Commander (3 year term), Vice Commander (2 year term), Secretary/Treasurer (1 year term), and Chaplain (1 year term). Elections are held each October.

Auxiliary Membership: Any individual whose spouse or direct family member (father, mother, brother or sister) has served in the United States Armed Forces may apply for auxiliary membership. Similar to the active membership, the applicants must be a person of good character and a citizen of the United States of America. Unlike the active member, the auxiliary member has no vote in Post business.

How to become an Auxiliary Member Officer: Auxiliary members elect their own officers who work hand in hand with the post on various activities. Auxiliary Officers to be elected are: President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer and Chaplin. The terms of these positions are the same as the Post officers with elections held each October.

Honorary Membership: Any citizen of the United States who isn’t eligible under either of the options listed above, and who’s performed outstanding, faithful or distinguished service for the United States of America, or Allied Veterans of the World, Inc. & Affiliates, may be eligible for election as an honorary member of this organization.

Dues: Any local dues shall be set by the local Post. National dues are set by the National Commander and should be paid in full by September 1st.
