Financial boost from veterans to help vets
Allied Veterans of the World Inc. & Affiliates has come a long way in the amount of time, effort and money its members have been able to donate to military, first responder and charitable organizations. Monday, they showed just how far.

Donation keeps USO Welcome Center afloat at JIA
The USO Welcome Center at Jacksonville International Airport will stay open for at least another year, thanks to a $100,000 donation from a veteran’s group.
Allied Veterans of the World Inc. & Affiliates made the donation earlier this month. The group raises funds for veteran and first responder organizations.

Students receive ROTC scholarships
Christmas arrived early for senior members of Merritt Island High’s Junior ROTC Mustang Battalion when the National Commander of the Allied Veterans JROTC Scholarship Program donated $2,000 gifts to each student, all of whom will receive the money upon graduation in May.

Columbia High School JROTC Seniors Each Score $2,000 at Graduation
Sixteen seniors in Columbia High School Army Jr. Reserve Officer Training Corps are set to receive $2,000 each upon graduation as a result of action on Friday.
Three leaders from the Allied Veterans of the World & Affiliates (AVWA) brought a $32,000 check to CHS so that those 16 seniors will receive $2,000 upon graduation. That money can be used for anything.
